A Quick Break on a Not-So-Sunny Day

After a quick errand we decided to stop and play at one of Olympia's many parks. The kids enjoyed McDonald's (a rarity) and played for about 45 minutes. We don't get to play outside much during the wonderful Washington winters.

January 2009 and some other items...

Just this last weekend we had a break in the rainy weather. So we bundled up and went to Tumwater Falls. A fun local spot with a nice trail and some massive waterfall action. The kids were thrilled to actually DO something outside.

Christmastime was a little overwhelming. I think we had about 4 different Christmases at different houses. Here are some pictures of our time at Gigi and Papa's (Tony's parents) Christmas night.

Here are some more pictures from Ashley's birthday. Fancy Nancy is one of her favorite characters. In fact, her Grandma (known as Gigi, pronounced jee-jee) painted Fancy Nancy and some of her accessories in Ashley's room. It's quite exceptional.

Tony's birthday is right after Ashley's (Dec. 23). We went out for pizza and then had babysitting so we could go see Avatar. It's what Tony wanted to do for his 30th. We had a lot of fun and a fantastic pineapple upside-down cake to boot!

Ashley and Ezra spend so much time being musical with just about anything. It gets pretty interesting at times. Here they are doing a rendition of Twinkle Twinkle using lego items.
